What we do
Clearing is the job we are known for. Freight, permits and delivery are the rest of the trip, handled by the same team so nothing falls between two companies.
Imports and exports cleared with SARS. Every line classified, every duty worked out before it is due.
Full containers or a few pallets in a shared box, from any port in the world to Durban, Cape Town or Gqeberha.
When it cannot wait for a ship. Collected from the supplier, flown, cleared at the airport and on your doorstep.
Across South Africa and into the region, with the border paperwork lodged before the truck gets there.
The paperwork that stops a box at the port if it is missing. We check what your goods need before they ship.
The last mile. Containers unpacked, stock stored and delivered when you are ready for it.
Tap a container to open it. The numbers on the doors are real ISO 6346 codes, check digit and all.
Instant quote request
Five quick steps. A real person on the M&S desk prices it and gets back to you, usually the same working day.
Live tracking
Container number, air waybill or M&S reference. We check the number is real before we even look it up.

The three questions every importer asks us. Play with them, then send us the real thing.
Indicative only. Customs value in South Africa is the FOB value in rand. VAT on imports is 15% of the customs value plus 10%, plus the duty. Trade agreements (SADC, EU-SADC EPA, AfCFTA), rebates and excise can change the answer. Your clearing agent confirms the real figure on the SAD500.
Paperwork
Most delays at the port are a missing document. Here is what we need. Drop your files in and we tick them off.

Who we are
M&S Logistics carries on a family business in clearing and forwarding, now led by director Mikaeel Paraze. The relationships and the know-how stay. What changes is how easy we are to deal with: prices in minutes, tracking on your phone and paperwork you can send from anywhere.
Agents and carriers at the ports and airports your suppliers ship from.
Duties worked out before the ship lands, documents checked before they are a problem.
One team that knows your account. Call, email or WhatsApp and a person answers.
A freight forwarder books the transport: the ship, the plane, the truck. A clearing agent gets the goods through customs: the declaration to SARS, the duties and the release. M&S does both, so the freight and the paperwork are planned together.
Yes. Anyone importing commercially needs a customs client number (an importer's code) from SARS. If you do not have one yet, we can help you apply before your first shipment lands.
When the documents are complete and correct, most entries are released within one to three working days, and many on the day the ship discharges. Most delays come from missing invoices, unclear descriptions or permits nobody knew were needed. That is why we check them early.
Yes. Choose "Customs clearing only" in the quote builder. Send us the bill of lading or air waybill, the invoice and the packing list and we take it from there.
On chargeable weight: whichever is higher of the actual weight and the volume weight (length x width x height in cm, divided by 6000). Light, bulky cargo is charged on its size. The quote builder works it out as you type.
Yes, by road into neighbouring countries, with the border entries and transit bonds lodged ahead of the truck so it does not sit in the queue waiting for paperwork.
